Company Overview:
A leading investment firm with approximately $120 billion in assets under management is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join their New York City office. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and verify vendor invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Execute timely payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers while maintaining thorough records for audit compliance.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries, discrepancies, and payment schedules while fostering positive relationships.
• Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and address any inconsistencies.
• Review and process employee expense reports in line with company policies.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
• Identify and propose opportunities to streamline and enhance AP workflows.
• Prepare regular reports on AP activity to support internal management and decision-making.
• Assist with audits, tax requests, and other finance-related projects as needed.
• Generate and distribute client invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist with monthly and year-end closings.
• Maintain accurate AR records and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in AP/AR or similar accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); NetSuite experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and AP/AR best practices.
