CPA Firm seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support the firm’s Tax Practice. Candidate requires strong attention to detail as well as the ability to collaborate and deliver. Responsible for completing complex returns and assist in maintaining the firm’s strong client relationships.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

CPA firm with over 45 years’ experience, offering the traditional accounting services of auditing, reviews, and compilations as well as income tax planning, tax preparation and management advisory services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, exempt organizations, and emerging businesses.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, estate, and individual tax returns.
• Prepare multistate income allocations for businesses and individuals.
• Assist clients with tax planning and strategies.
• Conduct tax research to maintain compliance and minimize tax exposure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 7 years of tax preparation experience in private companies, high net-worth individuals or trusts within a CPA firm.
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accounting required, and CPA is a plus.
• Ability to manage client workload and team members on various projects and deadlines.
• Experience with tax preparation software (prior experience with Thomson Reuters CS products).
• Ability to manage process flow, think analytically, manage multiple clients/projects and deadlines, and work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment where you can work both autonomously and, in a team-oriented setting.
• Have strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and Excel skills.
