Company Overview:
A Boston-based asset management firm with $4.9 billion in assets under management is seeking a Tax & Fund Accounting Consultant. This role will support core financial operations, reporting, and analysis across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
• Support fund-level accounting processes, including expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with audit preparation, including schedules, documentation, and responses
• Support regulatory and compliance-related financial reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
• Help implement system enhancements or process automation initiatives
• Partner with compliance, investor relations, and investment teams on financial matters
• Support new initiatives, fund launches, or business growth activities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 3 to 4 years of experience in finance or accounting; ideally public or public/private mix
• Asset management / financial services experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel; experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks) a plus
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus

Compensation:
Salary: $105,000 – $125,000, Plus Bonus
