A global multi-strategy/multi-manager hedge fund is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team in a Corporate Finance capacity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the compensation accounting process for the investment and noninvestment staff for a global, multi-strategy/multi-manager hedge fund from its launch. Be a key senior member of the team responsible for designing and building systems and processes from Day 1.
Create and manage the annual payout process for portfolio manager teams, many with complex and bespoke terms. Partner with internal legal and business teams to build and manage a process to integrate a Finance/Compensation review during the candidate offer stage as well as a final onboarding process.
Build and manage the monthend close process for all compensation related accruals for a full pass-through structure. Create a daily accrual process, partner with internal fund accounting and corporate accounting teams to build a coordinate and controlled end to end process.
Manage service providers (and over time hire internal resources where needed) and create KPI’s / metrics to build and measure accountability.
Build and lead the financial planning and analysis for forecasting future growth of the organization in terms of headcount, portfolio management team profitability, and other forecasts across multiple scenarios.
Build and oversee the payroll operations for the firm and coordinate with Human Resources, other Finance teams, and thirdparty providers to manage the processes for a large, global firm with offices in at least 4 countries
Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including experience managing teams.
CPA (or equivalent designation) and public/private accounting is preferred.
High attention to detail and a mindset focused on controls.
Ability to work at a high growth firm in a fastpaced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of departments including senior management, legal, portfolio managers and senior business managers and other parts of the organization in the US and internationally.
