Company Overview:
A prestigious university's endowment management firm oversees a significant portfolio. They are seeking a finance professional to manage and analyze their growing direct investment portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee valuation, accounting, and reporting for private direct investments
• Conduct and review valuations of private companies using various approaches
• Perform in-depth company, industry, and market research
• Participate in due diligence by reviewing financial statements and other documents
• Synthesize and standardize large volumes of data for reports and presentations
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
• Collect and maintain key financial data from manager and company reporting
• Work closely with investment and legal teams during deal closes
• Stay updated with financial reporting and valuation techniques
• Provide guidance to fund administrators on transactions and valuations
• Collaborate on accounting period closes and analyze investment valuations
• Work with compliance, legal, and tax teams for regulatory reporting
• Perform technical analysis and engage with support functions and service providers
• Contribute to a strong internal control environment
• Develop technology-based solutions and act as a liaison with IT and business teams
• Offer creativity in problem-solving and idea development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS and various valuation methodologies
• Proficiency with investment structures and strong analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with complex legal documents
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and AI tools a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in leading people and promoting a collaborative culture
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop strong relationships and provide value-added service
