Company Overview:
A prestigious law firm founded in 1899 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, specializes in strategic practice areas for national and international clients. They are seeking an Estate Advisor to manage the administration of assigned estates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Estimate value of all assets, debts, costs of administration, and estate taxes to determine cash needs for the estate.
  • Collect assets and arrange payment of debts, estate taxes, income taxes, and other expenses.
  • Prepare federal, Massachusetts, and other state estate tax returns.
  • Participate in estate tax audits with the responsible attorney.
  • Arrange distribution of estate assets and originate trust-funding plans.
  • Prepare and file probate forms and accountings with the Registry of Probate.
  • Consult with the responsible attorney to ensure procedural deadlines are met.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and related advisors.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives.
  • Maintain complete files for each assigned estate.
  • Report status and issues to the Trustee and/or Department Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Five+ years of estate settlement experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and knowledge of systems like SE2 Trust Accounting System, SEI/SWP, GEMS, TrustEase, CCH ProSystem FX, Zane Software, CCH ViewPlan, ZCalc, or similar.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
