Company Overview:
A global financial services firm provides clearing services to 26 exchanges via direct membership and parent/affiliates. They are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to oversee comprehensive operations infrastructure across multiple business lines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and growth initiatives
  • Lead process optimization initiatives across all operational divisions
  • Drive strategic planning for capacity expansion, technology upgrades, and operational scalability
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business development opportunities
  • Establish key performance indicators and operational metrics
  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction to division heads
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Ensure operational integrity and efficiency across clearing, settlement, custody, and trading operations
  • Oversee daily operations including clearing, settlement, and corporate actions
  • Implement robust risk management frameworks and operational controls
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of regulatory landscape
  • Oversee compliance with SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and OCC regulations
  • Lead large-scale operational projects including system implementations
  • Oversee vendor management and technology partnerships

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services operations
  • Minimum 5+ years in senior management roles
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Series 7, Series 24 required; Series 4 and additional registrations preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in operational systems and trade processing platforms
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power Automate, or other automation tools
  • Expert-level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience with project management methodologies and enterprise risk management frameworks

Compensation:
Salary: $200,000 – $300,000, Plus Bonus
