Company Overview:
A leading investment firm with a significant portfolio is seeking an experienced Controller to manage both management company and fund-level accounting operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the management company
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes
• Maintain accounting systems and internal controls
• Coordinate with external accountants on tax filings and compliance matters
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of annual audits
• Assist with the review of capital calls, distributions, and fund financials
• Partner with third-party fund administrators on reconciliations and reporting
• Track investor capital accounts and support LP reporting
• Ensure compliance with fund agreements and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the audit and tax process for both the management company and funds
• Prepare materials for internal stakeholders and assist with investor reporting
• Collaborate with legal and operations teams on finance-related initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of experience, ideally in private equity, venture capital, or asset management
• Proven experience with both management company and fund-level accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting, and regulatory reporting
• Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $85 – $100/hr, DOE
