Company Overview:
A prestigious international law firm with over 900 lawyers across 12 offices worldwide is seeking a Talent Development Manager for their New York office. The role will support the Alternative Investments practice group, focusing on associate development and training.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Get to know the practice group, attorneys, administrative teams, deal flow, and clients.
  • Work closely with partners to ensure appropriate developmental and training messages during associate performance evaluations.
  • Be familiar with associates’ reviews, matters, workloads, and professional development goals.
  • Coordinate the assignment of associates to ongoing and new matters with the Staffing Partner(s).
  • Counsel associates on their career goals.
  • Collaborate with the Training Partner(s) and Professional Development team on transactional training programs.
  • Develop and facilitate events to foster cohesion and communication within the group.
  • Manage onboarding of lateral and first-year associates and exit procedures for departing associates.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of law firm experience; relevant transactional experience strongly preferred.
  • JD required.
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • High responsiveness to time-sensitive issues.
  • Flexibility with respect to working hours.
  • In-person attendance on a hybrid schedule is expected.

Compensation:
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000, Plus Bonus
