Company Overview:
A multi-strategy private markets investment firm with over $17 billion in assets under management is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team in New York. The role involves ensuring the successful and accurate completion of accounting and administrative servicing requirements for various funds and products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, including preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows
• Prepare and review trial balances
• Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables
• Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
• Coordinate with operations, tax, investor relations, investment, and legal teams
• Work with auditors to provide information as requested
• Review private equity fund clients’ partnership agreements, private placement memorandums, and other materials
• Complete ad-hoc and special projects as directed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably for a private equity firm
• Knowledge of partnership accounting
• Private equity experience
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP financial statements for alternative investments
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Compensation:
Salary: $100,000 – $115,000, Plus Bonus
