Company Overview:
A well-established multi-family office and wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team of dedicated professionals. This position focuses on delivering comprehensive tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and entities, while providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality tax compliance and consulting services.
  • Manage and review complex individual, fiduciary, not-for-profit, and entity tax filings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to professional standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed work papers, data processing, and the conversion of information into reviewable work products.
  • Conduct and supervise research on complex tax issues, translating findings into actionable tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and technical support to promote professional development and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated family office services and coordinated wealth management support.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and assist in developing long-term strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and recommend adjustments in client planning or compliance strategy where appropriate.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and accuracy in tax compliance and client reporting.
  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and team-oriented work environment that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s in taxation or MBA preferred.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in a tax or family office practice, with a strong emphasis on individual and fiduciary taxation.
  • Additional experience in pass-through entities, not-for-profit, or gift taxation strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior tax professionals.
  • Strong technical proficiency in tax compliance and planning software applications (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or BNA Tax Planner).
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:
Salary: $140,000 – $160,000, Plus Bonus
