Company Overview:
A leading global distributor of specialty raw materials, established in 1994, is seeking a Controller to manage their accounting and finance operations. The role involves overseeing bookkeeping, payroll, and cash management functions within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including invoicing and accounts receivables, vendor payments via ACH, wire and checks, and very limited collections
• Liaise with sales and logistics teams to facilitate bookkeeping activities
• Manage cashflow
• Manage payroll through ADP
• Ensure data integrity between QuickBooks and custom ERP software
• Provide information to and interact with Accountants for the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
• Manage banking and factoring relationships, including annual financial audit
• Manage employee health insurance plan

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required
• 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally including prior Controller or Assistant Controller roles
• Proven background managing bookkeeping, payroll, and cash management functions within a small-to-mid-sized enterprise or entrepreneurial environment
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and ERP integration
• Demonstrated ability to prepare for external audits and liaise with accounting firms
• Experience working with banks, insurers, and vendors on financial administration and compliance
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and cloud-based accounting platforms
• Familiarity with GAAP, internal control frameworks, and monthly closing processes
• Working knowledge of ADP payroll processing and employee benefit administration tools

Compensation:
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000, DOE
