Company Overview:
A regional bank headquartered in New Jersey provides personal and business banking services, including management and digital banking solutions. They are seeking an Staff Accountant to join their Finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Record activity of the investments portfolio, including changes in principal & interest payments, monthly accruals, discount/premium amortization, and change in market value.
• Prepare reporting and analysis on the investments portfolio for monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Reconcile investments portfolio monthly and cash accounts daily, investigating reconciling items with Treasury and external counterparties.
• Understand product mapping from the subledger to the general ledger and propose changes when needed.
• Provide breakdowns for SEC and Regulatory reporting, and research variances from prior periods.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, specializing in Treasury/securities related products.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.

Compensation:
Salary: $40-45 /hr, DOE
