Company Overview:
A leading global private equity investment firm with $49 billion of equity capital under management is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Credit Funds team. This role offers opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic and expanding credit platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Investment and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting books and records.
• Manage accounting and preparation of quarterly financial reports, compliance, and investor reporting for assigned funds.
• Train and supervise a team of offshore personnel, ensuring their growth and integration.
• Coordinate financial reporting to Limited Partners and Senior Management.
• Research and propose accounting treatments for new guidance.
• Review and manage fund documents and investor communications.
• Assist in the quarterly valuation process for portfolio investments.
• Collaborate with technology teams to improve process and reporting efficiency.
• Interact with the Tax Team to compile tax information.
• Work with third-party administration teams for reporting and financial statements.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in accounting required.
• 2-6 years of experience in alternative investments or public accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel/VBA skills.
• Solid understanding of Investment Company financial reporting.
• Experience with distressed debt, credit instruments, and/or originated loans preferred.
• Knowledge of Investran and/or Virtual Portfolio Manager (VPM) is a plus.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $50 – $75/hr, DOE
