Company Overview:
A forward-thinking investment technology firm based in New York City partners with advisors and institutions to deliver personalized, values-aligned, and tax-smart investing solutions. They are seeking an Engineering Lead to enhance their portfolio management software capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver modules for the proprietary portfolio management system, including portfolio construction and workflow management.
• Model business data into the appropriate data store.
• Add automations to the infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining and improving existing software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Business Teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Knowledge of RDBMS; NoSQL experience is a plus.
• Experience in portfolio construction and/or workflow management is a plus.
• Strong understanding of functional programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with unit testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Passionate about software and technology; interest in Asset Management is a plus.

Compensation:
Salary: $175,000 – $195,000, Plus Equity
