Company Overview:
A global diversified multi-strategy hedge fund focuses on market-neutral and quantitative trading strategies, aiming to deliver consistent, uncorrelated returns. The firm is seeking an Financial Analyst to manage the monthly accounting close and expense allocations for several operating entities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly close process for multiple U.S. and international management company entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions, maintaining integrity and accuracy across accounts.
  • Take ownership of complex expense allocation methodologies across entities and cost centers ensuring allocations are accurate, supportable, and efficiently maintained.
  • Take ownership of the full expense management process, ensuring compliance with firm policies under a full pass-through expense model.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting packages that deliver timely, insightful analysis to support senior management's strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Support the automation of key processes, including implementation of an expense management system and transition to a new general ledger platform.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, coordinate audit deliverables, and identify opportunities to improve the audit process.
  • Bring a proactive, analytical approach to identifying and solving operational and financial challenges.
  • Participate in special projects and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a management company, hedge fund, or private equity environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with direct experience booking journal entries and monthly close processes.
  • Experience with Sage or similar general ledger a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000, Plus Bonus
