Company Overview:
A growth equity firm with over $1 billion in assets under management focuses on transformative technologies in fintech, cybersecurity, and SaaS solutions. They are seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting for their venture capital funds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across multiple venture capital funds and co-invest vehicles.
• Manage the fund reporting process, including valuation, capital account statements, capital calls, distributions, and financial statements.
• Coordinate and review work of external fund administrators, including close packages, IRRs, MOIC, management fees, and waterfall calculations.
• Work closely with auditors and tax advisors to drive timely year-end audit and tax compliance across fund entities.
• Develop and maintain internal fund level books and records, including partner allocations.
• Develop and monitor fund liquidity projections, support cash management, manage expense reimbursement process, and administer credit facilities.
• Manage management company accounting and reporting processes.
• Support CFO and investor relations with LP communications, reporting, and fundraising deliverables, including annual meeting prep.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with deal teams and third-party providers to ensure accurate and timely outputs.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Execute various ad-hoc projects or strategic analyses for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant fund accounting experience within venture capital or private equity.
• Experience maintaining internal shadow books is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $60 – $75/hr, DOE
