Company Overview:
A private equity firm with approximately $5 billion of assets under management focuses on building industry-leading companies in the healthcare and related business services sectors. They are seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join their team and support their growing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the firm's third-party administrator on day-to-day accounting operations
  • Consolidate and prepare all fund level filings including investor reports, financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and supporting documents
  • Prepare and review SEC filings including Form ADV and Form PF
  • Develop and maintain internal controls over the external financial reporting process
  • Recognize, research, and resolve reporting and general accounting issues
  • Develop reporting policies and procedures related to new accounting standards
  • Prepare responses to various ad hoc requests for information
  • Interact with external auditors and provide information in a timely manner
  • Interact with fund investors to provide information in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPA license or 4 parts passed
  • 4-7 years of experience in any combination of private equity, public accounting audit or tax with private equity clients, or at a fund administrator
  • Experience with the financial statement audit process, either as an auditor or in private practice
  • Knowledge and experience with tools such as Excel, Word, and PDF
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups within the firm, including the investment team and the portfolio transformation group
  • Committed to going in office 5 days a week
  • Strong accounting background and understanding of private equity
  • Experience with the preparation of investor reports, financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
  • Experience with SEC compliance standards and reporting
  • Strong accounting system skills and knowledge of financial reporting management tools such as iLevel, Investran, or Atom Invest

Compensation:
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000
