Company Overview:
A leading private equity firm with a focus on high-growth businesses in the financial services sector is seeking an Associate to join its Finance Team. This role will support financial reporting and operations, working closely with the VP of management company and the firm's CFO.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare files for monthly and quarterly closings, such as accruals and prepaids, management fees, investments, interest schedules, etc.
  • Review workpapers and financial statements prepared by fund admin for Management Company and its subsidiaries
  • Coordinate with external auditors on annual audit of financial statements
  • Review invoice batches, expense allocations, project codes, etc.
  • Review employees’ corporate card expenses and out-of-pocket expenses related to Management Company
  • Coordinate with fund team and fund admin for fund reimbursements, management fee reconciliations, etc.
  • Monitor operating cash account and assist on cash management
  • Record maintenance, such as org chart, formation docs, bank account summary, etc.
  • Assist on tax and compliance matters
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience, including 2 – 3 years of public/private accounting experience; preferably some management company experience in the private equity industry
  • Accounting degree required; CPA preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Excel

Compensation:
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000, Plus Bonus
