Company Overview:
A leading retailer in the home appliance industry, known for its innovative approach and community-focused showrooms, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team. The role will focus on scaling accounting functions to support business growth and enhance financial operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer 401(k) contributions, compliance, and reporting.
• Enhance and systematize workflows to support continued growth.
• Reduce manual processes through automation and ERP optimization, with a preference for NetSuite.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure accounting scales alongside business expansion.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reporting packages.
• Provide financial insights into performance, particularly in high-value B2C transactions.
• Support leadership with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in scaling accounting functions and building efficient workflows.
• Background in retail or B2C businesses with high average sale values.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Payroll and benefits administration experience, including 401(k) and medical deductions.
• Expertise in accrual-based accounting and fraud detection.
• Extreme attention to detail with the ability to deliver a luxury customer experience through accounting interactions.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $70 – $75/hr, DOE
