Company Overview:
A leading environmental advocacy organization is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their legal team. This role focuses on providing legal support for international operations and contract management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support and advice related to contracting, subsidiary formation, regulatory compliance, governance, and operational aspects in multiple non-U.S. jurisdictions.
• Draft, negotiate, and review various corporate and commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and legal standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams across multiple departments including Finance, Compliance, and International Programs to support global business activities.
• Assist in managing legal risks related to cross-border operations and transactions.
• Conduct legal research and provide legislative or regulatory updates relevant to corporate and international operations.
• Support the legal team on special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant legal experience with a strong focus on general corporate and transactional matters, particularly contract drafting and negotiation.
• Demonstrated experience with subsidiary formation and ongoing operations in non-U.S. jurisdictions, including familiarity with cross-border legal and regulatory issues.
• Exposure to international corporate law, foreign jurisdiction compliance, and global transaction structuring.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $80 – $90/hr
