Company Overview:
An operational private equity firm with a focus on building and scaling industry-leading platforms is seeking a Controller & CCO. The firm is preparing to raise its first co-mingled fund, anticipating $300-500 million, and is committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial reporting, accounting, payroll, and treasury functions, including invoicing, payables, payroll processing, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate tax filings, state registrations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Create, monitor, and improve internal financial controls, policies, methodologies, and processes.
  • Manage financial audits and corporate insurance policies.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with the third-party fund administrator for fund-level accounting, reporting, and investor communications.
  • Review and verify quarterly and annual fund financial statements, management fees, and other key fund metrics.
  • Collaborate with the administrator to support year-end audits, tax reporting, and investor reporting packages.
  • Serve as the firm’s primary liaison with regulatory bodies and compliance consultants.
  • Oversee registration and regulatory filings, including Form ADV and other SEC-mandated compliance matters.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular compliance training, testing, and risk assessments.
  • Manage and track compliance-identified findings and resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in private equity, asset management, or a similar financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, RIA compliance, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and compliance management tools.

Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $175,000, Plus Bonus
