Company Overview:
A leading global investment firm with nearly $300 billion in assets under management is seeking a Trading & Settlements Associate to join their team. This role will focus on supporting equity and fixed income trading activities, particularly in the energy sector.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end settlement process for equity and fixed income trades, focusing on energy-related products.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of trade capture, affirmation, confirmation, and settlement.
• Partner closely with traders, portfolio managers, and front-office investment teams to resolve trade discrepancies.
• Liaise with custodians, brokers, and clearing agents to reconcile breaks and minimize settlement risk.
• Provide daily oversight of outstanding fails and settlement exceptions, escalating issues as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational risk reduction initiatives.
• Support three other team members in the group, collaborating to meet collective goals.
• Uphold the firm’s standards for operational excellence and compliance.

Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of experience in trading operations or settlements within equities and/or fixed income markets.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and post-trade settlement processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $70 – $85/hr, DOE
