Company Overview:
A value-oriented middle-market private equity firm based in Stamford, CT, with $1.4 billion of assets under management, is seeking a Fund Controller of Finance & Operations. The firm focuses on control buyout investments and partners with management teams to drive sustainable growth and long-term value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coordinate with, and oversee third-party fund administrator
  • Manage the preparation and review of fund, general partner, and co-invest vehicle financial statements
  • Manage quarterly and annual closings, including valuation process, audit requests, and calculating management fees
  • Prepare and review capital calls and distributions for the funds and related entities
  • Prepare and review expense allocations and payments
  • Prepare and review fund forecasts, performance reporting/analyses, and other ad-hoc analyses
  • Maintain fund credit facilities and manage treasury activities
  • Support the tax team with information for tax reporting
  • Review fund legal documents and ensure processes align with partnership agreements
  • Assist with responding to investor requests
  • Analyze and interpret deal documentation for financial reporting
  • Utilize technology and outsourced solutions to enhance efficiencies and controls

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of prior private fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity
  • Big 4 alternative asset manager audit experience, preferably in private equity
  • CPA preferred
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $80 – $90/hr, DOE
