Company Overview:
A leading, independently-owned investment advisory firm with over $9.7 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a firm that values teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
  • Monthly/Quarterly/YT closing processing
  • Research and analysis of income statement accounts
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, statement of members’ equity and cash flow statement)
  • Maintaining general ledger integrity
  • In charge of the firm’s daily treasury operations
  • Work with Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting on managing Human Resources responsibilities such as benefits, FSA, 401(k) and payroll
  • Work with tax preparers to resolve any state tax notices
  • Support the Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting in preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
  • Assist with the year-end process and handle requests from external auditors and tax teams
  • Develop and interpret statistical and accounting information
  • Develop and maintain account reconciliations
  • Work closely with the Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting on firm KPI’s and other financial analysis
  • Coordinate with the Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting on preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
  • Assist with 1099 prep or review
  • Assist with Form 5500 review and filing
  • Ad hoc projects as determined by the Executive Management team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (combination of public and industry a plus)
  • ADP payroll processing software knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central general ledger software preferred
  • QuickBooks online and desktop versions
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Financial services industry experience a plus but not mandatory

Compensation:
Salary: $90,000 – $105,000, Plus Bonus
