Company Overview:
A global alternative investment management firm with a multi-strategy approach is seeking a Support Engineer for their UCC team. This role focuses on managing voice, video, and AV communications and conferencing solutions for employees globally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for on-site AV equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all AV systems are functioning optimally in conference rooms and event spaces.
  • Monitor and maintain backend AV infrastructure systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Set up, test, and manage AV equipment in conference rooms to enable seamless meetings and presentations.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for issues during meetings, including video conferencing and audio disruptions.
  • Collaborate with facilities and IT teams to ensure conference rooms meet AV standards and user requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute AV setups for live and hybrid events, including town halls, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Operate AV equipment during events, ensuring high-quality audio and video performance.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to implement system upgrades, changes, and new AV solutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams, resolving complex AV-related issues.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on recurring issues and user needs to improve system design and functionality.
  • Conduct morning readiness checks and report findings to the team to prepare for the day.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of operations experience with conferencing and audio-visual technology.
  • Proficiency with conferencing and collaboration platforms, including WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
  • Strong experience with room-based conferencing systems, including Cisco Telepresence, Room Series, and DTEN.
  • Expertise with AV control systems, DSPs, and peripheral devices (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Lightware, Shure).
  • Knowledge of AV networking protocols and technologies, including IP-based AV systems, video over IP, and audio networking.
  • Experience with inventory management and asset tracking systems for AV equipment and components.
  • Ability to document new procedures, maintain troubleshooting records, and create operational instructions for all systems under management.
  • BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Cisco voice and video infrastructure is preferred.
  • AV Certifications: Dante Level 1 & 2, Q-SYS Level 1 & 2, CTS are preferred.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hr
