Company Overview:
A leading global private equity investment firm with $49 billion of equity capital under management is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Credit Funds team. This role offers opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic and expanding credit platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Investment and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting books and records.
• Participate in monitoring investments and analyze related performance.
• Train and supervise a team of offshore personnel.
• Manage accounting and prepare quarterly financial reports, compliance, and investor reporting for assigned Funds.
• Coordinate financial reporting to Limited Partners and Senior Management.
• Research and propose accounting treatment for new or potential accounting guidance.
• Review call/distribution notices, credit line draw/paydown notices, and partner capital statements.
• Assist in the quarterly review of the valuation process for portfolio investments.
• Work with technology teams to implement process and reporting efficiency solutions.
• Interact with the Tax Team to ensure proper compilation of tax information.
• Assist with special projects and internal ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in accounting required.
• 2-6 years of experience related to alternative investments in private industry or public accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of Investment Company financial reporting required.
• Strong Excel/VBA skills.
• Experience with distressed debt, credit instruments, and/or originated loans preferred.
• Knowledge or exposure to Investran and/or Virtual Portfolio Manager (VPM) is a plus.
