A premier Alternative Manager with $90 billion in assets under management, recognized for delivering top-quartile performance across its portfolio is looking to hire an Institutional Sales Associate. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth within the firm, working closely with a high-performing Managing Director, with a path to direct client coverage. The Institutional Sales Associate will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s Institutional Sales team. This role is focused on relationship management with Limited Partners (LPs), supporting fundraising, and assisting with business development efforts. The ideal candidate has experience working with LPs, understands the nuances of alternative investments, and is eager to transition into a more Private Equity-focused role.

Responsibilities:

  •  Marketing and Fundraising Support:
    •  Lead the preparation of marketing materials, including due diligence requests, portfolio updates, and other investor-facing documents.
    • Conduct preparatory work for fundraising diligence meetings and ongoing marketing efforts.
  • Investor Research and Identification:
    • Research and identify potential new investors with a focus on compatibility with the firm’s existing capital base.
    • Leverage insights to strategically align investor outreach efforts.
  • Client Service and Relationship Management:
    •  Support relationships with existing investors across all aspects of client service, including portfolio updates, performance analyses, and general investor requests.
    •  Maintain and manage investor databases and contact management systems.
  •  Event and Conference Planning:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of investor events and conferences, enhancing the firm’s regional presence and brand.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years in an investor relations, business development, or related role within an asset manager, alternative asset manager, or private equity firm.
  • Direct experience supporting Limited Partner (LP) relationships, including knowledge of investor onboarding and engagement.
  • Background in a well-established analyst program is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in a business development or investor relations role
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with an ability to understand and communicate complex investment concepts.
  • High proficiency in preparing investor materials and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for developing strong client relationships
