Company Overview:
A leading global investment firm with nearly $300 billion in assets under management is seeking a Data Strategy and Governance Lead. This role will focus on enhancing data capabilities across private corporate credit and the insurance sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a cohesive data strategy that integrates with the data strategy, focusing on enhancing data capabilities and supporting growth across financial sectors.
  • Design and implement a scalable data architecture that ensures efficient data management and enables advanced analytics and business intelligence.
  • Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework that sets standards for data quality, security, and privacy in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to assess and optimize current data systems, driving improvements and adoption of new technologies.
  • Monitor data governance practices and performance, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, analytics, compliance, and business units to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's data strategy and governance remain ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in data strategy, architecture, and governance, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the financial services industry.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data management, big data technologies, cloud solutions, and analytics platforms.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • SQL and Python skillset a major plus.
  • Knowledge of direct lending practices and the role of private financing solutions for companies.
  • Insight into the nuances of Senior Direct Lending and Opportunistic Credit and their implications for data strategy and management.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $85 – $100/hr, DOE
