Company Overview:
A private equity firm with $200 million in assets under management focuses on managing and investing in global brands across various consumer sectors. They are seeking a Controller / VP of Finance to lead their finance and accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the fund administrator for quarterly and annual closings in accordance with US GAAP and Limited Partnership Agreements.
• Review and approve the fund administrator’s work, including trial balances, workpapers, and capital accounts.
• Manage capital activity such as capital calls, distributions, and limited partner reporting packages.
• Oversee the quarterly valuation process and coordinate tax compliance.
• Manage banking and treasury operations, including wire controls and cash positioning.
• Implement and enhance systems like QuickBooks and business intelligence dashboards.
• Produce quarterly fund reports and support fundraising and LP due diligence.
• Establish consistent monthly reporting across portfolio companies.
• Direct the work of external fund admins, auditors, and other service partners.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting with audit/tax exposure.
• Knowledge of private equity partnership accounting and US GAAP.
• Proven experience in coordinating third-party providers and delivering accurate reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and fluency with admin portals and accounting ERPs.
• Experience with consumer brand IP and licensing/royalty accounting is a plus.

Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $175,000, Plus Bonus
