Company Overview:
A leading global private equity investment firm with $74 billion of assets under management is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their Credit Funds team in New York. The role focuses on accounting operations and financial reporting for the firm's Credit Platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Investment and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting books and records.
• Monitor investments and analyze performance; engage with investment professionals for inquiries.
• Train and supervise a team of offshore personnel, ensuring their growth and integration.
• Manage accounting, preparation, and approval of quarterly financial reports and compliance for assigned Funds.
• Coordinate financial reporting to Limited Partners and Senior Management.
• Research and propose accounting treatments for new guidance.
• Review and manage fund documents, notices, and investor communications.
• Assist in the quarterly review of the Valuation process for portfolio investments.
• Work with technology teams to improve process and reporting efficiency.
• Interact with the Tax Team for proper tax information compilation.
• Assist with special projects and internal ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting required.
• 2-6 years of experience in alternative investments or public accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of Investment Company financial reporting.
• Strong Excel/VBA skills.
• Experience with distressed debt, credit instruments, and/or originated loans preferred.
• Knowledge of Investran and/or Virtual Portfolio Manager (VPM) is a plus.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $50 – $65/hr, DOE
