Company Overview:
A leading financial services company specializing in installment loans is seeking a Senior Developer to join their Credit Execution team. The role focuses on transitioning an on-premise decisioning stack to a modernized, cloud-native implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams in technology, credit risk, and product to execute the modernization roadmap.
• Become proficient in the existing decision engine architecture and business workflows, leading enhancement initiatives and code improvements.
• Assess and pinpoint opportunities for optimization during the platform's transition to its intended target state.
• Lead technical conversations and suggest upgrades that support smooth modernization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related statistical field.
• 10+ years in financial services involved with strategy-based decisioning platforms.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to work across a modern tech stack, as well as open source and off-the-shelf rule engine offerings.
• 8+ years of programming experience (Java, Python, etc.) with a strong fundamental understanding of data structures and experience working with complex datasets.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and programming in Java, SQL, and JSON.
• DevOps experience in a cloud environment.
• Proven experience in modernizing enterprise systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and incremental delivery approaches.
• Expertise with decision engines/rule-based systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior exposure to a data build tool (dbt) is preferred.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $60 – $89/hr
