Company Overview:
A leading investment management firm with approximately $20 billion in assets under management is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their corporate accounting department. The role focuses on managing all aspects of the accounts payable function to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounts payable staff and ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.
  • Maintain vendor records and build positive relationships to resolve issues and ensure timely payments.
  • Process employee expense reports and reconcile expenses with receipts and approvals.
  • Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and compile documentation for auditors and compliance reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices and automation.
  • Provide training and support to staff on accounts payable processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes related to accounts payable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with multiple accounting software platforms or ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $175,000 base + bonus.
