Company Overview:
A leading middle-market alternative asset manager with over $8 billion in assets under management is seeking to hire a dedicated credit-focused fund accounting professional. The firm, known for its deep sector expertise and strategic focus, recently expanded into credit, offering a unique opportunity for growth within its credit finance function.

Job Responsibilities:

• End-to-end fund accounting for the firm's credit platform, including flagship and continuation vehicles.
• Oversight of third-party fund administrator: review of NAVs, capital activity, LP allocations, waterfall calculations, and management-fee computations.
• Income recognition and accounting for a multi-strategy credit book, including cash and PIK interest, OID accretion, and non-accrual decisions.
• Loan-level reconciliations and trade-settlement tracking under LSTA documentation.
• Quarterly and ad hoc LP reporting, including yield analytics and portfolio stratification.
• Cash and treasury management, including capital calls, distributions, and leverage facilities oversight.
• Audit and tax coordination, including K-1 process management.
• Process and systems build-out for a scaling credit platform.
• Coordination with the equity-side finance team on cross-fund situations.

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of fund accounting experience with exposure to private credit.
• Hands-on technical command of credit-specific accounting, including PIK and cash interest, OID, and waterfall mechanics.
• Experience with syndicated credit and secondary direct lending.
• Exposure to distressed and special situations.
• CPA or active progression strongly preferred.
• Operator mindset: organized, proactive, and able to work directly with senior partners.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $75 – $120/hr
