Company Overview:
A registered absolute return investment manager based in Cohasset, MA, targets uncorrelated returns through investments in closed-end funds and similar entities. They are seeking a Head of Business Development and Investor Relations to join at the partner level and drive institutional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Broaden LP base across geographies and investor types
• Help shape fundraising strategy, investor targeting, and broader firm positioning initiatives
• Support the development and launch of new products and investment vehicles
• Source new prospective LPs through research, networking, referrals, events, and intermediary relationships
• Maintain CRM and investor pipeline activity, including fundraising reporting and forecasting
• Prepare strategic meeting materials and coordinate supporting content with team members
• Manage prospect interactions, RFPs, DDQs, and ad-hoc prospect deliverables
• Prepare and distribute investor reporting materials, including monthly fact sheets and investor updates
• Manage DDQs, audit/consultant requests, and ongoing monitoring requirements
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing LPs through high-touch engagement
• Refine marketing materials and support strategic messaging for LP meetings and fundraising efforts

Qualifications:

• Experience in business development and investor relations within the investment management industry
• Ability to develop strong relationships with target investors to raise capital
• Proficiency in maintaining CRM systems and managing investor pipeline activity
• Strong skills in preparing strategic meeting materials and coordinating supporting content
• Fluency in investment strategy and ability to communicate concepts clearly to investors and consultants

Compensation:
Salary: $200,000 – $300,000
