Company Overview:
A private equity fund in Boston, MA, is seeking a Controller. The role involves overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and tax coordination for a portfolio of managed accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, oversee, and review the work of a team of Portfolio Accountants and Assistant Controllers.
• Oversee and review quarterly and annual audited financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Review property and fund level performance measurement calculations, including IRR and equity multiples.
• Review of quarterly and annual tax deliverables and work with third-party tax professionals.
• Prepare and present materials for portfolio management meetings.
• Partner with Investor Services and Business Development to respond to investor inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and serve as an accounting subject-matter expert.

Qualifications:

• Minimum eight years of combined experience in public accounting, private equity, and/or real estate investment management.
• At least three years of management experience.
• CPA required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and fund-level financial statements.
• Experience with complex fund structures, joint ventures, and incentive waterfalls.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with Yardi preferred.

Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000, Plus Bonus
