Company Overview:
A New York-based asset management firm specializing in structured credit is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join their Quant Research group. The firm invests across various structured products, focusing on active trading and rigorous security selection.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with trading desk, marketing, and operations to identify AI tooling improvements
• Prototype, build, and deploy AI applications for document understanding, retrieval, and agentic workflows
• Integrate successful prototypes into the firm's risk and analytics platform
• Evaluate and improve AI usage across market analysis, research, trading, marketing, and operations
• Build evaluation, monitoring, and observability for AI systems
• Track emerging models and techniques, rapidly prototyping and deploying the best
• Guide and train users on AI tool integration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, data science, economics, finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals
• Experience building LLM-powered applications
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Pragmatic, ownership-oriented mindset

Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $225,000, Plus Bonus
