Company Overview:
A leading global alternative investment manager with a diverse portfolio across credit, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure asset classes is seeking a VP, Engineering Lead for their Investment Operations. This role will focus on designing and deploying solutions to support the firm's significant growth and investment operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set technical vision and roadmap for Investment Operations covering all aspects of the investment lifecycle.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of engineering solutions for the business.
  • Participate in solution ideation, architecture, design, development, and delivery.
  • Work with senior engineering and business leaders to define product roadmap and strategy.
  • Implement industry best practices for engineering and product management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, selection process, and contract negotiations.
  • Lead technological innovations and drive initiatives with senior business partners.
  • Ensure a culture of excellence, collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience and 4+ years managing a team.
  • 5+ years of Private Markets experience in Asset Management.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Typescript, JavaScript, SQL.
  • Experience in building full-stack modern scalable applications.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Knowledge of modern UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with modern software development stack and streaming platforms.
  • Experience with application packaging, containerization, and deployment.
  • Proven engineering leader with strong technical and functional capabilities.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and leading project prioritization discussions.
  • Strong management skills and ability to work with remote teams.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.

Compensation:
Salary: $250,000 – $270,000
