Company Overview:
A leading global investment firm with nearly $300 billion in assets under management is seeking a BDC Finance Associate for its Credit & Insurance division. This role involves accounting, finance, and reporting activities for the firm's BDC investment advisory business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate workflow with third-party administrators and review accounting deliverables for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain shadow books and records, performing reconciliations with administrator reports
• Identify and reconcile investment and P&L differences between internal systems and administrator data
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables
• Monitor compliance with SEC and IRS regulatory tests for BDCs
• Prepare and review 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings
• Support the investment team with ad hoc requests, including financial modeling and liquidity management
• Oversee the valuation process of the investment portfolio
• Liaise with Investment, Operation, and Investor Relations teams to enhance reporting
• Respond to ad hoc requests from external investors
• Work with Investor Relations to prepare quarterly investor decks and earnings releases
• Prepare materials for BDC Board of Directors
• Assist with technology initiatives
• Research new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on financial statements

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree
• 3+ years of professional work experience
• Public or public/private accounting mix preferred
• BDC product experience a plus, especially non-traded BDCs
• Credit instrument product experience preferred
• SEC reporting experience preferred
• Alternative investment fund accounting experience required
• CPA preferred
• Strong awareness of internal compliance controls

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $55 – $75/hr, DOE
