Company Overview:
A third-generation confectionery business, established in 1978, specializes in producing high-quality handmade candies and chocolates, offering over 3,000 unique products. They are seeking a Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations, supporting the company's growth and alignment with business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial operations
• Manage the general ledger and supervise accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closings
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial analysis for leadership decision-making
• Maintain internal controls and support banking and audit relationships
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with operations and management to align financial practices with business goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
• Strong financial management and accounting skills, including general ledger oversight, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, and cash flow management
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, internal controls, and audit preparation
• Proven experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar senior accounting role
• Experience in a manufacturing or CPG environment preferred

Compensation:
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000, Plus Bonus
