Company Overview:
A public sector organization dedicated to providing retirement and related benefits to educators in New York City is seeking a Senior Project Manager Consultant. This role will focus on overseeing complex and large-scale projects to align with organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple, concurrent, complex, cross-functional, high-priority projects involving various departments and external stakeholders.
• Manage projects such as system upgrades, platform rollouts, legislative changes, and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
• Ensure projects align with organizational strategies and portfolio priorities.
• Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, defining key milestones and deliverables.
• Manage issues during the project lifecycle, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders.
• Track KPIs and metrics to evaluate project success.
• Prepare and present regular reports on project status to senior leadership.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of project management experience with large-scale SDLC projects.
• Active PMP certification required; Agile Certification(s) preferred.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
• Experience in vendor management and working with city agencies and unions preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Planner, MS Office, Smartsheet, MS Visio, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $62 – $73/hr, DOE
