Company Overview:
A leading manufacturing firm specializing in technical textiles is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting functions and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the AP Specialist to oversee invoice workflows, payment schedules, and expense compliance using automation tools.
  • Work with the AR Specialist to manage customer invoicing, aging analysis, dispute resolution, cash collection strategy, and credit limits.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls across purchasing, vendor onboarding, disbursements, customer credit, and cash handling.
  • Manage cash flow monitoring and short-term liquidity forecasting.
  • Build and maintain cost accounting models, manage BOM costing, overhead allocations, and inventory valuation.
  • Lead a 5–10 day monthly financial close, ensuring general ledger accuracy and timely reconciliations.
  • Conduct variance analysis on costs, yield variances, labor efficiency, budget-to-actuals, and gross margins.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including ASC 606.
  • Manage multi-state sales tax nexus, filings, corporate tax compliance, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee cap table administration, stock option tracking, and equity accounting.
  • Maintain audit-ready financial records and coordinate documentation for audits.
  • Maintain and optimize ERP integrations and tech stack connectivity.
  • Prepare monthly financial packages, departmental P&Ls, and profitability reports.
  • Ensure financial documentation meets ISO 13485 standards.
  • Support internal audits and participate in CAPA processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, variance analysis, and ASC 606.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, automated GL mapping, and financial automation tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and profitability analysis.
  • Experience in ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or similar regulated Quality Management System environments.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $80 – $90/hr, DOE
