Company Overview:
A full-service commercial bank headquartered in New York, specializing in serving professional service firms, law professionals, and small to mid-sized businesses. The bank is seeking a Merchant Services Accountant to support its growing merchant services platform, which constitutes a significant portion of its revenue.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly clearance and settlement activities for Merchant Services payment processing.
• Daily reconciliation of wire & ACH transactions to processors and “In Process” or suspense accounts.
• Process manual ACH payments and record accounting journal entries for daily and monthly activities.
• Record Mastercard (weekly) and Visa (monthly) invoices.
• Reconciliation & review chargebacks during month-end close.
• Assist in month-end close process and operational initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Payment processing background preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
